Adolescence  Interviews

I'll say that I'm a visual learner because it makes it easier to learn and understand the content, and that's why I went to Animas. Some schools use more traditional methods of organization and different methods of learning like using cubbies or lockers for organization and giving out class work with little explanation.  Traditional schools have very little social classes. I came to animas because I knew that they would push me harder to make my work as good as possible.

This MUN was suppose to simulate the UN and how it worked.

There is a judge who allows students to speak there point.

each student comes up and tells there speak on how they can solve the issue on Venezuela. students can comment on a speech and criticize there solution until we agree on a solution.

MUN REFLECTION

:My final draft:

As a board member of Israel I am neutral on the Venezuela's economic and political problem but my allies (the USA) supports giving funds to venezuela to build infrastructure. So I will support the usa by doing the same

In the MUN the most interesting thing was the interaction between different countries and how it was all in character. America was an egoistic and proud board member venezuela was depressed about seeing it’s own country fall about and me, (as israel) was planning to do whatever america was doing while while trying to be neutral as possible about the situation (just like in real life).

I personally felt like i failed this project because of the speech I had to do because israel had no say in real life. Even though I didn’t gain any public speaking skills I still did learn alot from listening and observing seeing other countries fight. I saw methods like undermining there talking point by calling it a non practical solution or by saying stuff like your doing that just for money. Sometimes somebody’s comment is so distracting it can make you forget there argument entirely.

I felt very unprepared throughout the MUN. I felt unprepared because I couldn't find a reason why israel didn’t really care while researching. I also had tons of other stuff i had to do before the MUN, I only remembered a day before we started, and I knew I was screwed.

If I was to do this project again I would research a country before doing a speech.
